Pam McConathy, founder of Foresight Communications Group, has more than 25 years of experience in crafting and implementing award-winning public relations and organizational communications programs for companies around the world. Her diverse background includes corporate, business-to-business and consumer communications work for print, broadcast and online channels, designed to engage both internal and external audiences.
Formerly a senior vice president with a leading Houston-based public relations firm for nearly 10 years, Pam formed her own communications consultancy in 2008. Prior to that, she held senior communications management positions with Hill&Knowlton, the former Houston Lighting&Power Company (now CenterPoint Energy) and Safeway Stores.
Pam's most recent projects have included strategic communications planning for medium and large organizations, media training workshops, emergency preparedness training, crisis communications, media relations and marketing communications, as well as mentoring and coaching in-house communications teams.
Her client list includes Emirates Airline, Sprint PCS, Verizon Wireless, Aramco Services Company, Shell Chemical, Grant Thornton, Accenture, Chevron, Reliant Energy, Halliburton, PricewaterhouseCoopers, the Houston Technology Center, shapingtomorrow.com, Waterborne Energy, and more.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from Michigan State University and worked as a newspaper reporter before entering corporate communications and public relations as a career. Pam is currently finishing a Masters degree in Strategic Foresight in the College of Technology at the University of Houston.
